Growcycle has recently moved onto the Stanmer Organics site & we will be busy throughout 2019 developing our new plot ready for our official launch in Spring 2020.
Growcycle; a working organic kitchen garden where we can help people to build a sustainable future though horticulture.
We provide people with the skills and support they need to grow. To grow their own food, to grow their knowledge, to grow their confidence, to learn new skills and reconnect with the process of sustainable food production. We do this is two distinct ways:
1. We are a social enterprise, working with vulnerable people in our community. We also provide work experience for individuals in our organic kitchen garden, helping people back into employment through our employability programme.
2. We are self-sustaining. We fund our operations through a veg box scheme which we deliver to the wider community of Brighton and Hove We also offer a range of horticultural goods, services and activities. From selling some of our produce, family teaching and corporate team building days on our plot.
And the best bit…. all of the surplus food that we grow will be given to local charities and organisations working with vulnerable people in Brighton & Hove.
