PLOTS AVAILABLE TO RENT

HORTICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL ARTS AND CRAFTS PLOTS AVAILABLE TO RENT AT STANMER ORGANICS

Stanmer Organics currently has 3 horticultural plots of varying sizes available to rent and a small plot suitable for an Environmental Arts based project.  If you have an idea for a conscientious small business or community group and have experience in horticulture (preferably organic) or environmental arts you are invited to make an application.

The plot sizes are (roughly):
1. 57x41m (possible to split in half) £256 per year
2. 14x29m unsure but probably about £180 per year
3. 15x55m (this is a fruit plot with bushes already established and fruiting) £210 per year
There is also an annual water bill to pay too (depending on how much water you use)

We will be closed over the Christmas period and reopen in January 2020.   Please check with individual projects when their volunteering days restart.

Stanmer Organics at Apple Day

Find out more about Stanmer Organics, meet some of the people involved who provide courses, workshops and education across a broad spectrum of environmental fields. We will have our annual stall at Apple Day 2019, 22nd September. ( organised by Brighton Permaculture Trust )

Come and join us for our Summer Open Day at Stanmer Organics, Stanmer Park, Brighton 11am-8pm

From 11-4pm
Roam the site and drop in to each project to see what we do and how you can get involved. Participate in an activity, site tour, or talk. There will be wares and creativity on offer for all the family to enjoy.

From 4-8pm
Live music at the Earthship featuring the fantastic
Pollito Boogaloo (4.30 pm)

Food and refreshments all day
Come and celebrate with us, all welcome!

It is a 15 minute walk from Stanmer Church, follow our signs.

Entrance: donation (suggested just 2.00 per person) All proceeds go into providing the next event.

Woodland Flo Day with Future Roots Saturday 2nd March 10-3pm

Come and join us for a one day event on Future Roots plot at Stanmer Organics teaching people a range of woodland and nature based skills including pond building, tree tapping for sugar, building an outdoor kitchen and how to plant and grow medicinal herbs. This Green Architecture Day is an annual event Brighton Permaculture runs in partnership with Low Carbon Trust.  The event has attracted over 2,000 participants to hear inspiring talks about how we can live and work in greener buildings and communities. The venue holds over 250 participants who come from a wide range of backgrounds including architects, designers, community groups, and self-builders.

The theme this year is:

“The impact of the built environment on Health and Well-being”

Our plot application process runs on a rolling programme with quarterly deadlines throughout the year.  Our next deadline is 28th February 2019

We currently have 3 plots available to rent. Two of which are good horticultural plots and would suit any growing project, one of which is a small plot which would suit either a growing project or arts and crafts based project. If you have an idea for a community group or small business that fits in with the aims and ethos of Stanmer Organics we would like to hear from you.
