Physic Garden

Serving people, plants and wildlife

Physic Garden (Project) is an organic medicinal herb garden, founded by Lisa-Marie Davies, Herbalist and Naturopath, in spring 2010.

It has a glorious gently sloping, south-facing position in the heart of Stanmer Organics which has been transformed into a working herb garden.

We are growing an abundance of medicinal plants, which support humans and wildlife alike.

We provide workshops in many aspects of herbal medicine and naturopathic practises and we offer talks, tours of the garden and kids activities including outdoor-educational days, all in a relaxed garden setting.

Please email to receive workshop and event

Workshop dates for 2023 will be published very soon!

If you would like to book a tailor-made day at the Physic Garden Project, do get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

We have regular volunteer days:

Friday 10am-3.30pm

Volunteers are warmly invited to get involved in all aspects of tending the garden including digging, planting and harvesting, whilst enjoying the wonderful surroundings and being active in the park.

We can also tailor make team-building days for businesses and groups.

The project aims include:

Growing organic medicines for a healthier community

•Providing education in herbal medicine and naturopathic practises

         • Generating an organic seed bank from the medicinal herbs grown on site

         • Safeguarding precious habitat for our wildlife and serving our community
